London, July 2012 - Prime Focus has post produced 'Secrets of the Taxman', an undercover report from Vera, partly filmed in the Channel Islands which presents new revelations about tax avoidance. The Dispatches special screens on Channel 4 on Monday 9th July at 8pm.
The Broadcast post team, led by Prime Focus Post Producer Louisa Sutherland Smith, pulled out all the stops to deliver the current affairs programme in time for its Monday night transmission.
"Louisa (Sutherland Smith) has been absolutely fantastic and worked incredibly hard to ensure everything ran smoothly" said Rebecca Parkinson, Managing Director at Vera Productions. "The Prime Focus team coped with all the challenges of a fast turnaround programme with ease - and a smile!"
Ronnie Newman provided the online edit and grade, ably supported by assistants Andy Penfold and Damion Katawaroo. The audio work was competed by Senior Dubbing Mixer Phitz Hearne, Sound Editor Rada Danilovic and audio assistant Tom Sichel. Blanca Martin Fuentes was the Avid assistant.
Discussing the challenges of the project, Phitz Hearne said, "We knew it would be a tough job to get it done in time, but it was a great team effort. With a project like this, communication is the key. Everyone needs to be on the same page and know exactly what is happening at every single stage. This becomes even more important when working to such a tight schedule and on something so legally sensitive, to ensure that nothing goes out that shouldn't."
